Which AI assistants can connect to NextEO?

ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini and Grok, through their own custom connector settings, plus Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, VS Code and any other app that supports remote MCP servers. Each assistant sets its own limits: ChatGPT needs Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education with developer mode on, and Google allows custom apps in Gemini only on personal Google Accounts in the US.

Which NextEO plan includes the connector?

Agency, and Enterprise. One connection reaches every website on the account. The connector is in beta.

Do I need an API key?

No. You add the address, then sign in with your NextEO account and approve access. API keys are only for the REST API and for a local MCP server, for apps that cannot connect to a remote one.

Can the assistant change my website?

No. It reads your NextEO data and can start a scan when you ask. It cannot apply fixes, change billing or manage your account; fixes are applied in NextEO, where every change is logged and can be undone.

How to connect

A few steps in each assistant

Every assistant takes the same address, https://api.nexteo.ai/mcp. The steps below follow each vendor's own menus.

ChatGPT

On chatgpt.com, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode.
Open Plugins and select the plus button.
Name it NextEO, paste the connector address above as the MCP server URL, and create it.
Sign in to NextEO when asked and approve access.

Needs ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education, on the web. On Business and Enterprise, an admin turns on developer mode for the workspace first. ChatGPT asks you to confirm any action that changes something, like starting a scan.

Claude

In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
Click the plus button, then Add custom connector.
Name it NextEO, paste the connector address above, and click Add. Leave Advanced settings empty.
Sign in to NextEO when asked and approve access.
In a chat, turn NextEO on from the plus button, then Connectors.

Works in Claude on the web, Claude Desktop and Cowork, on every Claude plan (the Free plan allows one custom connector). On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds it under Organization settings, then Connectors.

Google Gemini

On a computer, go to gemini.google.com.
Open Settings, then Connected Apps.
Under Custom apps, click Add a custom app.
Paste the connector address above as the MCP server URL and click Next. Leave Advanced features empty.
Sign in to NextEO when asked and approve access.

Google allows custom apps only on a personal Google Account (not work or school), for people 18 or older in the US, with Keep Activity on. Add it on the web; it then works in the Gemini mobile app too.

Gemini CLI

The first time a tool runs, Gemini CLI opens your browser to sign in to NextEO.

Grok

Go to grok.com/connectors.
Click New Connector, then Custom.
Paste the connector address above as the MCP server URL.
Sign in to NextEO when asked and approve access.

Other apps

Add a remote MCP server (it may be called Streamable HTTP or HTTP) with the connector address above.
If the app asks for an OAuth client ID or secret, leave them empty: NextEO registers the app for you.
Sign in to NextEO when asked and approve access.

Claude Code

What it can do

Reads your data, never changes your site

It can

Read scores, competitors, fixes, reputation, search data and journeys for every website on the account, and start a scan when you ask.

It cannot

Apply fixes, change billing, or manage your account or team. Fixes stay in NextEO, where every change is logged and can be undone.

How access works

You approve it on a NextEO sign-in page, so the assistant never sees your password or a key. Remove NextEO from the assistant's connectors to disconnect it.
